Wow! I have read parts of the Mitrokhin Archive, but I must have missed this gem of information!

It turns out that the publisher of the book "Oswald: Assassin or Fall Guy?" (one of the earliest starting points of the JFK conspiracies in 1964) received subsidies totalling $672,000 from the Central Committee of the Communist Party in the early 1960s!!!
