Java Now Running on Apple IIc [www.javalobby.org]
* 128Kb ram is required, but 256Kb is strongly recommended
* The distribution fits on three 143Kb-sized floppy disks
* A hard disk is not needed but makes the system much more responsive
I have no idea if it's real or not - I might just have to dust off the //c and try it out!!

Damn - well spotted
I suspected - but I couldn't see a date anywhere. It is also the sort of stupid thing someone would do - which made it plausible! As a long time Apple II, Apple ][+, Apple //e, Apple //c and Apple //gs user I can also say the images are very close to form Apple //-ish images. The windowing stuff is probably directly from MouseWorks screen dumps. Oh well :)
